From one mother to another…sharing insights on her family’s journey through addiction
Please join us for an intimate evening with author and speaker Sandra Swenson. Sandra will be sharing insights she has gained through her families journey with her son’s addiction, as a mother to other mothers.
Beverages and dessert will be provided. There will be an opportunity to connect with other mother’s on the same journey. Attendees will also have the option to purchase Sandra’s latest book “Tending Dandelions: Honest Meditations for Mothers with Addicted Children”
Doors open at 6:30. Event begins at 7 p.m.
Sandra Swenson is the mother of two sons—one of whom struggles with addiction. A voice for the loved ones of addicts –particularly moms– she first documented her experiences with her son’s addiction in the critically-acclaimed book The Joey Song: A Mother’s Story of Her Son’s Addiction. An advocate for acceptance, education, healing, and recovery, Sandy can frequently be found sharing her journey through the place where love and addiction meet.
Her second book, Tending Dandelions: Honest Meditations for Mothers With Addicted Children was published by Hazelden Betty Ford in September 2017, to be followed by an accompanying app in May 2018.
