SUMMARY:One Family's Journey to Recovery - Second Sunday with Gloria Englund
DESCRIPTION:Follow your spirit—and spend your Sundays with us once a month. \n \nINSPIRATION\, GROWTH AND HEALING\nRevitalize your recovery with friends and families who share the journey. \nWelcome to Second Sunday\, your opportunity each month to: \n\nHear from special guest speakers who open the way to new insights and awareness\nReconnect with principles and practices that nurture your spirit\nGather with others who understand the challenges and gifts of recovery\n\n\nJoin Gloria Englund as she shares her family journey of recovery. Her mission to reach other parents and loved ones of those with substance use disorder was highly accelerated once she understood that her son’s compulsive drug seeking was rooted in his brain illness\, not his character\, choices or lack of will power. This recognition supported her decision to detach with the same love and compassion she would if he had any other incurable illness. Boundaries involved what she needed to be in relationship with her son\, not about his substance use. \n\nREGISTER EARLY AND SAVE! \n$15—If you register online on or before June 6\n$20—At the door (After June 6\, all participants must register on-site\, the day of the event.)\nRegistration fee includes programming and lunch. \n\nMeet Your Second Sunday Host\nGloria Englund\nAuthor\nGloria Englund is an author\, psychotherapist and professional recovery coach. She has both personal and professional knowledge of addiction and recovery. Her oldest son\, Aaron\, died of a heroin overdose in 2007.
