DESCRIPTION:Rescheduled because of the storm.\n\nSpeaker Meeting- Topic “Parenting the Addicted Teen and Young Adult – How to Thrive!” \nBarbara Krovitz-Neren\, MA\,  is the author of: Parenting the Addicted Teen\, a 5-Step Foundational Program which will be available for purchase at this meeting. She has been a youth and parenting advocate for more than thirty-five years. She coaches parents of teens and young adults who are chemically dependent or have mental health challenges and consults with programs to enhance parent involvement in recovery. \nThe recovery community is strengthened when families add their voices because family support is vital to building recovery in the community. (The concept of ‘families of choice‘ is intended to capture the commitment of chosen\, rather than fixed\, relationships and ties of intimacy\, care and support.) Our intention is to promote healing and long-term recovery for all.
