DESCRIPTION:The 2018 conference far exceeded expectations. \n​By popular demand we offer this 2nd Conference. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWith growing concern over the devastation of all forms of addiction\, including the ever-increasing opioid crisis\, the Fellowship of Recovering Lutheran Clergy (FRLC) in partnership with the Recovery Ministries of the Episcopal Church (RMEC) present this conference on addiction and faith to raise awareness of the terrible addiction problem we face and how the church and people of faith can help to address it. \n\n\n\n\n                       You Are Invited to Join Us! \nFrom the world of church: clergy\, synod staff\, deacons and deaconesses\, parish nurses\, youth leaders\, addiction awareness teams\, congregants\, and the community of people in recovery. \nFrom the world of addiction treatment: treatment center staff\, healthcare professionals.\n​\nOpen to anyone interested: in exploring the devastation of addiction and the remarkable healing process of faith. Together\, we’ll enhance our knowledge about addiction recovery\, share stories of learning and hope\, and celebrate our faith in God’s abiding grace. \nFeaturing: \n\nInternationally-known keynote speakers\nBreakout sessions and spiritual practices\n\n                    \n​General CEUs available\, up to 9 hours.​ \n\nBreakout Speaker\n \n\n​Gloria Englund is a psychotherapist\, who holds a Master of Arts degree in Human Development. As a professional Recovery Coach\, she works with individuals and families dealing with an addiction to alcohol\, drugs\, food\, and relationships. Besides individual coaching\, she offers two\, on-going coaching support groups. Courageous Caregivers© is a support group for those who have a loved one experiencing active addiction\, relapse or who are new to recovery. A Different Kind of Grief© is a support group for those who have a loved one who have died from addiction.  Her book\, Living in the Wake of Addiction: Lessons for Courageous Caregiving\, demystifies addiction\, defies stigma\, offers hope for recovery\, and serves as a guide for professionals\, families and individuals seeking support on the journey of recovery.\nAs an accomplished public speaker\, advocate and published author\, Gloria brings a message of hope and recovery to others.
